The Thermo Scientific Triton is a thermal ionization mass spectrometer with negative ion capabilities. It is currently mostly used for boron isotope analyses but the 9 Faraday cups and a secondary electron multiplier allow a wide range of applications, including high precision measurements of Nd, Os, Sr etc. The Triton is, on a recharge basis, available for internal and outside users! Please contact me for further information. Visit also the pages of the division of geochemistry for more exciting research done at LDEO.
