|
Approximately 60 students from the Double
Discovery Program at Columbia visited
the Lamont campus. They saw a presentation
on drilling operations given by Mary
Reagan and then visited the Lamont and
ODP core repositories. There Rusty Lotti
and Gar Esmay and their staffs gave them a tour and the kids had
a chance to examine cores from both repositories. See
the pictures.

"Special Topics in Ocean Drilling Services
and Information Science and Information Technology" |
|
|
This course provided an introduction of Ocean Drilling
Program (ODP) contributions to major earth science themes, using core
and logging data, engineering (technology) tools and processes. Integration
with Information Technology for classroom applications was supported
through hands-on laboratory exercises, web resources and online databases. |
