This combination of tools measures formation density, porosity, deep/intermediate/shallow resistivity, natural gamma radiation, and hole size in a single logging pass. All logs are valuable for lithologic and petrophysical information of the hole. Other measurements, such as porosity and clay mineral content, can be derived from these logs.

This toolstring is also known as the Geophysical Toolstring and is made up of the following tools:

• Phasor Induction Tool (DITE)
• Accelerator Porosity Sonde (APS)
• Hostile Environment Litho-Density Sonde (HLDS)

The Temperature Tool (TAP) and the Hostile Environment Natural Gamma Sonde (HNGS) are usually added to this toolstring.
