Sonic logging data recorded in Hole 1247B. The presence of gas
hydrate in logging unit 2 is indicated by higher sonic velocity and low
sonic waveform amplitude, particularly in the monopole waveforms. These
indicators coincide with high resistivity readings in the spherically focussed
resistivity log shown for comparison.
