The Borehole Research Group has established a proven track record for designing and manufacturing downhole tools conveyed on both wireline and the sandline. In 1999, we designed a core-barrel measurement "platform" from which to make numerous operational parameters. Our core-barrel platform (CB) has been designed as a modular system in which sensors and supporting electronics can easily be swapped to meet the needs of the particular measurement. To date we have built two measurement modules for the core barrel platform:

1. A Core Barrel Drill String Acceleration Tool (CB-DSA)

2. A Core Barrel Temperature Tool (CB-TT)

A Core Barrel Retrievable Memory Module (CB-RMM) has been proposed for production in FY 02.
