Wireline Packer System

A wireline packer system was developed by the Borehole Research Group to investigate the subsurface geology and hydrogeology of the Palisades Sill beneath the LDEO campus.

Wireline Water Sampling

Using the BRG designed wireline straddle packer system, discrete water samples have been taken in geochemical studies

Injection Testing & Seismic Monitoring

Liquids and gases have been injected in discrete intervals at pressures up to 800psi with intention of generating micro-seismic events. A simple downhole seismometer clamp was developed and deployed to “listen” for micro-seismic activity.
