Earthquake Information from Lamont-Doherty Cooperative Seismographic Network (LCSN) Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (01/15/2003 00:30 EDT) On Tuesday evening, January 14, 2003 at 19h 58m 18s EDT, a small earthquake of magnitude 1.4 occurred around Greenburgh, Westchester County, NY. This shock occurred very close to the similar sized shock on the evening of January 10 (EDT). According to a resident in Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County; "this shock was felt not as severe as the one on January 10th, but more rumbly". Seismic observation from seven stations around the epicenter put the source at about 2 km Southeast of Hastings-On-Hudson; about 3 km South of Dobbs Ferry; 7 km Northeast of Yonkers, NY, and at a depth of about 3.5 km from the surface.
