during 1976-1996. Focal mechanism of each event is plotted over topographic relief map.
Source mechanisms plotted as "beachball" patterns are determined by researchers at
Harvard University, Cambridge, MA using digital seismograms recroded at Global
Seismographic Network (IRIS/USGS/UCSD-IDA).
