Event Waveform Data

Waveform data for earthquakes in the northeastern U.S. are now available on-line to user via Finger Quake list on the main page. Waveform data in SEED (Standard for the Exchange of Earthquake Data) format can be easily down loaded when you click LAT or LON column on the event in the Finger Quake list. If you have can not use SEED format, please let us know. Lamont-Doherty Cooperative Seismographic Network (LCSN) monitors earthquakes that occur primarily in the Eastern United States and make the data available to scientific community and to general public. The new features are added to facilitate dissemination of earthquake information to the public, student, engineers and other scientists. The network is operated jointly by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) and many other educational institutions and public organizations in the Eastern United States. LCSN is a component of the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS). Major funds to operate the network have been provided by the US Geological Survey under the National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program (NEHRP).
