We are experiencing trouble with a home directory server this morning. It is affecting 40-50% of our users. Multiple short outages may continue throughout today and tomorrow as we prepare and execute plans to migrate users to another server. CUIT successfully updated network maintenance in Lamont-Doherty on Thursday, February 23rd, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as previously scheduled/announced. During this network configuration change
CUIT Network Operations will be performing maintenance on Lamont's primary link to the downtown Columbia campus (our link to the internet) 5-6 PM this Thursday, February 23.
Most outgoing mail was turned off from Sunday, ~12:30 AM until ~3:31 AM because a compromised account was being used to send spam.
There are intermittent Internet outages at Lamont since 3:30 pm today. We are investigating the issue, and consulting with CUIT.
The old mail server went down at approximately 13:18 Saturday 11, 2012 due to an expired certificate.
Between approximately 8:05 and 9:50 this morning, some WIND authenication became unavailable. CUIT engineers worked to resolve the issue. WIND is currently operating normally.
