Copy Center
The Copy Center is located in 105 Administration. It is open 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. If you need assistance or have questions and requests, please contact Donna Smith at ext. 8894 or Pat Temple at ext. 8842.
There is a Canon 3200 black & white/color copier located in the Copy Center. The Canon is networked so you may send your jobs through email to copycenter@admin.ldeo.columbia.edu.They can copy onto 8 1/2 x 11, 8 1/2 x 14, and 11 x 17 paper. The options for this machine are collating, stapling, enlarging, reducing, duplexing, and batching.
The Copy Center can also do binding. There are two types available: spiral binding and wire binding. Besides these functions, the center is equipped to do transparencies, card stock copying, insertions, folding, and small lamination jobs.
Charges for Copying
Users of the Copy Center will be directly charged for the services provided. Time records will be kept, and users will be charged in 15 minute increments at a rate of $10 per quarter hour ($40 per hour) for services. An additional charge of 5 cents per impression will be charged for black and white copies, and 25 cents per impression for color copies. Only time spent in actual production will be charged to the users. There will be no additional charge for any other services provided, such as cover binding and laminating, with the exception of a materials charge for transparencies of 40 cents per sheet.
To utilize the Copy Center, you must provide an account number. There will be no cash transactions. Under most circumstances grants may not be charged for Copy Center services. Please check with the Contracts and Grants Office to see if there is an exception for your work.
