Use of Grounds
USE OF GROUNDS FOR PRIVATE EVENTS
Following are the procedures and application to request holding a private event at the observatory.
Please inquire about availability as soon as possible. You can contact this office at 845-365-8842 or email.
All requests to use Lamont for private events must first be approved by G.M. Purdy, Director of Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. You can either contact his office through email or by formal letter. Please be very specific as to the nature and what your event will entail. Also include any and all affiliations with Lamont or Columbia University if applicable.
Once your request has been approved please fillout the application and return it to this office.
The fee for using Lamont grounds is $500 per day. Lamont Hall can only accommodate small events. All larger events (over 50 guests) must be outside. There is also a refundable deposit of $300 (returned after event).
