Columbia University/Lamont Shuttle Bus Schedule

Due to the Fourth of July Holiday there will be no shuttle on Friday, July 4th. the shuttle will resume normal service on Saturday, July 5th.

The Shuttle transports passengers between the Columbia University Morningside Campus in Manhattan and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory Campus in Palisades, New York. At Columbia, the bus stop is at approximately 118th Street on the West/southbound side of Amsterdam Avenue. At Lamont, the bus stop is in front of the Geoscience Building.

The shuttle is free to all riders. Seats on the shuttle will be made available on a first come, first serve basis. At times when the number of people waiting at the bus stop exceeds the capacity of the bus, riders with a Columbia ID will be admitted first. Anyone without an ID card can ride the bus at no cost only if extra seats are available. If you need a Columbia ID please visit the Columbia ID Office in 204 Kent Hall.

The shuttle is managed by Columbia University Central Administration, through the Transportation Office (Anthony Wheeler, phone 212-854-3382). Columbia Transportation Services also runs a network of shuttle buses among Morningside campus, the Medical Center and Harlem Hospital. Shuttle service is available to all Columbia University affiliates free of charge.
