UNIVERSITY WIDE AUTHORIZED DEALERS
The vendors mentioned below have a $10,000 threshold. E-Z PO"S may be issued for most furniture with the EXCEPTION OF UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE, i.e. sofas, chairs. Upholstered furniture must meet the CAL TB 133 Fire Code and must be processed through CU Purchasing.
UNIVERSITY FIRE CODE REQUIREMENTS:
Columbia University subscribes to the Boston Fire Code for all upholstered furniture items. On January 1, 1995 Boston adopted the testing proceures contained in California Technical Bulletin 133 (CAL TB 133) as its procedure for regulation upholstered furniture. As such, the University will accept the same.
