Messenger Service
There is a messenger service that is run Monday through Friday from Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) to the University campus. It is the responsibility of the Traffic Office.
The messenger service should be used only for packages that need to be hand delivered or that must reach the University faster than conventional mail service. The messenger leaves LDEO at 9:00 am each morning to make a run through various departments at the University and returns to LDEO between 3:30-4:00 pm.
A drop-off box is located in 211 Administration and all packages must be deposited before 9:00 am for delivery that day.
All requests for pick ups to be delivered to main campus should be sent to Pat Ables or Tom Eberhard
There is a receptacle outside the door to 211 Adminstration for packages dropped off after hours.
In cases of extreme emergency, the messenger can be reached via beeper. This must be arranged through Pat Ables. If she is unavailable, Tom Eberhard may be called.
