Mail Access Slow

Users with large mail boxes are having trouble connecting to lamont.ldeo.columbia.edu mail server. Some mail clients time out and indicate they can't connect.
We are looking into the cause of this problem, please be patient and contact us, if you wish to be moved to our new mail system.
