Fall 2003

Please Visit the Fall 2004 website: eesc.columbia.edu/courses/u4735

This course is offered jointly by the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (DEES) of Columbia University.

The goal of the class is to learn and apply quantitative techniques for the analysis of policy-relevant environmental problems in three domains: water, energy, and climate. Problems and lecture material are extended in an extra one-point seminar, which offers further opportunities to investigate environmental problems through more quantitatively rigorous, open-ended analytic exercises. The course web site provides access to information about the class, lecture notes and projections, problem sets and solutions, and data and information resources.
