Spatial ability and verbal ability are not well correlated. There are individuals
who are low-spatial but high-verbal, and other individuals who
are high-spatial but
low-verbal.
Implication:
You may encounter students who are accustomed to doing well on school tasks,
which are mostly verbal in nature, but struggle mightily on spatially-demanding
assignments. Conversely, you may find individuals who usually do poorly on
traditional
assignments
but
excel on map and spatial assignments.
