Workshop Summary

On November 14 and 15 we convened a workshop on Arctic gas hydrates sponsored by the LDEO Laboratory for Ocean Drilling, Observation, and Sampling (LODOS).  The goal of the workshop was to identify open scientific problems related to gas hydrates along the US/Canada Beaufort Sea margin and to generate proposals for marine geological and geophysical exploration and for drilling.
