Delaware Coastal Advection Dye Experiment (DECADE)

The Delaware Coastal Advection Dye Experiment (DECADE) is a NSF funded field program. P.I.s Bob Houghton (LDEO), Richard Garvine (U. Delaware), and Charles Tilburg (U. Georgia) study the wind forced response of a coastal buoyant plume using a dye tracer. The first cruise was in April 2003 south of Cape Henelopen. Results are presented in a manuscript accepted for publication in GRL ( link to pdf ). The final cruises will be in April and May 2004.
