Results of all that counting and picking.




The next page contains a graph of the plotted data with each dot representing where a sample was taken and processed, and material sorted, counted, and picked. On all plots, colder is represented by high percentages and shows the peak to the left. Do you see the rhythm, or beat of the peaks? These are referred to as oscillations. We find these oscillations through the last 12,000 years up to our present time. The green plot with a "+" at some points marks where foraminifera were dated. On the left you can find the age, and at the bottom is how deep in the core the dated sample was taken.

At the top, left of the chart is a notation for the Little Age Ice (LIA), with it's plot to the far right. The data is enlarged on the page after the next.
