RESearch Interests

Phycology, cross-kingdom interactions, biogeochemistry, microscopy and, recreationally, the microbiology of fermented foods.

I am interested in the molecular underpinnings of how marine microorganisms (and their viruses!) interact with each other and the biogeochemical implications of these interactions.
