The TRL Dendoarchaeological Network

Over the past 25 years the TRL archaeological network has dramatically expanded to cover a significant portion of northeastern US.  In 2000, thanks to a discovery made by Charlie Cogbill and Dave Orwig, a significant breakthrough was made in the Boston area facilitating to the development of the Bean-Town Oak master dating chronology.  Today, new chronologies from New Paltz NY, Albany NY, the Adirondacks NY, Deerfield MA, and Newport RI provide sufficient coverage to date oak, pine hemlock and spruce timbers as far north as southern New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont, and as far south as northern, North Carolina.
