Fields of interest:
I am interested in climate variability on various time scales - decadal-to-centennial, millennial, and glacial interglacial, and its relationship to large-scale climate states. I am particularly interested in the tropical Pacific Ocean and the El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Understanding how ENSO variability relates to global climate is fundamental to understanding how our climate system reacts and changes over time.
