paleoceanography, paleoclimatology, proxy development

My current work focuses on reconstructing major shifts in earth's carbon cycle in the geologic past. To do this, we utilize and work to further develop the B/Ca proxy in planktic and benthic foraminifera. My projects to date have included: calibration of the B/Ca proxy in planktic foraminifers under Paleocene seawater chemistry, and reconstruction of deep Atlantic carbonate chemistry in the last million years.
