I am interested in Paleoclimatology, Paleoceanography and Geochemistry. My research focuses on the application of sedimentological indicators, trace elements and isotopes, such as helium and thorium isotopes, major/minor elements, grain size distribution, biogenic barium and opal, and radiocarbon, to understand past and present changes and interactions of climate, dust, marine productivity and ocean ventilation. For my studies, I work with marine sediments from the Subarctic North Pacific.

Further, I have studied Holocene paleoenvironmental changes in Chilean fjord sediments during my undergraduate years, using a suite of tracers such as stable isotopes in foraminifera, organic geochemistry (TOC, C/N, nitrogen isotopes), as well as XRF and XRD data.
