My research focuses on the interaction between the uplift of the earth's surface and its climatic history. I am especially interested in the deformation history of orogenic systems at ocean-continent subduction zones, the nature, causes, and effects of the Cenozoic temperature decline, and the use of biological systems to reconstruct environmental conditions.
