The R/V Marcus G. Langseth

The Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory has a long and successful history working with scientific research vessels both under sail and power. That history continues for Lamont and the collective research community with the addition of a revolutionary facility, the R/V Marcus G. Langseth, a two hundred and thirty five foot flagship seismic research vessel funded by the U.S. national science foundation.
