Research Interests:
Paleoclimate, paleoceanography, paleolimnology, geochronology, U-series systematics, Helium isotopes in Interplanetary Dust Particles (IDPs).
Recent and ongoing projects:
•Investigation of helium carrier phases in IDPs
•Expansion of the application of IDPs as flux proxies from deep-sea sites to marginal-marine and continental environments. The study includes Lake Estancia, the Castile Formation and East Mediterranean sapropel layers
•Re-evaluation of export production in the Southern Ocean during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM)
•U-series systematics in lake sediments
•Reconstruction of Dead Sea lake levels and climate changes during the Pleistocene-Holocene transition
•Chronology of the mid to late Pleistocene Lake Amora (Dead Sea basin) by U-series dating and δ18O stratigraphy
•The sources and evolution of sulfur in the Dead Sea basin lacustrine systems
