Welcome

I am a graduate student at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and Columbia University. I work with Goran Ekstrom, Meredith Nettles, and Jim Gaherty, studying the structure of the upper mantle using seismic surface waves, as well as some propagation effects.

Research

My current research projects include surface-wave tomography of the western US, observations of arrival angles, and studies of overtone interference. More information about these projects can be found using the link below, or please feel free to contact me.

Teaching Experience

Teaching is something I really enjoy. As an undergraduate, I worked as a tutor in math and science, and during my time at Columbia I have been a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and graduate level courses. These are listed on my CV.

Field Experience

Although all of my research has been done on data collected by others, I have been lucky enough to help out on several field expeditions. In addition, I have attended two student- organized field trips through the department. Photos from these experiences can be found through the link below.

Other Interests

Outside of earth science, I like to spend time on all the usual things: travel, photography, and cooking. I used to row for Marist College, which is something I will hopefully get back into someday! Links related to my interests can be found below.
