Dear friends,

Alla and I just wanted to send out an enormous thanks to everyone for the wonderful baby shower this weekend. We somehow managed to have 20+ jovial people in our one bedroom apartment. After the party we just basked in the afterglow of having had so many friends and loved ones around us. We also pored over all of the lovely gifts. Alla had to pull me away from the baby's toys.

I also wanted to say thanks in particular to Lourdes for organizing the shower so that Alla and I didn't have to worry about a thing, and to Matt and Claudia for being the directors of festivities.
