I use active-source seismology together with other geophysical and geological data to investigate deformation, magmatism and sedimentary processes at plate boundaries, including continental rifts and rifted margins, subduction zones, and transform boundaries.

Some current research projects:

  1. BulletALEUT - Marine seismic imaging of the Alaska subduction zone

  2. BulletTAMAM - Marmara Sea transform basin

  3. BulletSUGAR - Onshore refraction study of the South Georgia rift basin

  4. BulletSEGMeNT - Multidisciplinary, multinational study of rifting and magmatism in the southern part of the East Africa rift

  5. BulletGalicia 3D - 3D seismic imaging of the rifted margin off Galicia (link to blog about research cruise)

  6. BulletEastern North American Margin Community Seismic Experiment: onshore/offshore, active/passive seismic study of the formation and evolution of the mid-Atlantic continental margin
