NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow Contact information: Research interests: mineralogy, geochemistry, kinetics (especially diffusion), nuclear waste, volcanology, nominally anhydrous minerals I am broadly interested in the physical chemistry of Earth materials, particularly the incorporation and behavior of trace elements and impurities. My completed projects range from experimental work on uranium dioxide corrosion to a computational study of titanium incorporation in zircon as a function of pressure. While much of my Ph.D. centered on nuclear waste management, my current projects on water diffusion in nominally anhydrous minerals are more relevant to volcanology and geodynamics. |
