After a long interruption, I'll just start where I stopped last time - food. Since my last posting, the christian world stepped into a new year (the rest of the world not necessarily, but who cares?); I started my 40th year, thank you; way too many people have died in Iraq, in Palestine or in Darfur; and too little snow has fallen - and still I have nothing better to talk about than my latest little joys at the stove... salmon filet with cream and gratin dauphinois on sunday, and crepes filled with mushrooms on monday - nothing extraordinary, but It felt real pleasure eating it and overall making it, which is not often the case at the beginning of the week. And with a little luck, it'll get me start writing again about what I think about the 'surge' in Iraq, the 50 candidates for the democratic primary or the sad state of the french presidential campaign...
