Homework 4 - due Tu 10/3
IC data analysis
1.) (5p) Complete IC lab 2 which we started in class. Save file as XL_IC.xls, 'XY' being your initials and put the file on Courseworks.
2.) (10p) Make three histogram that shows the distribution of Cl, SO4, and NO3
concentrations in all samples, except for the Hudson River
samples (every sample should only appear once in each histogram,
if a sample was measured multiple times, use the average
concentration). Print the graphs and hand them in. Explain how you
chose the bin sizes.
3.) (10p) Using the same data as in 2.), make one graph that shows the distribution of Cl, SO4, and NO3
concentrations as a box plot, again without teh Hudson River data. Each
anion woudl correspond to one symbol. Print the graph and hand it
in.
