Patricia M. Gregg

I am an earth scientist specializing in solid earth geophysics and geodynamics.  As a graduate student in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology / Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) Joint program I investigated the dynamics of oceanic transform faults using geophysical data analysis and geochemical and geodynamical modeling.  I am currently a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow working closely with Roger Buck (LDEO) and Cindy Ebinger (Univ. Rochester); I am using geophysical constraints to model dike propagation and the long-term evolution of continental rifting in East Africa.  In addition to my collaborations with scientists at WHOI and MIT, I am also working with Rob Harris at Oregon State University.
