Notes on the lithologic data logs
The color and grain size measurements are based on visual subjective judgements. They may be subject to different interpretations.
Units are:
color
- 0=red
- 1=purple (green or white=purple)
- 2=gray
- 3=black
grainsize
- 0=claystone
- 1=mudstone (poorly sorted clay and silt)
- 2=siltstone
- 3=fine sandstone
- 4=medium sandstone
- 5=coarse sandstone
- 6=gravel
- 7=fine conglomerate
- 8=medium conglomerate
