IMPORTANT!!! - What the workshop will pay for

The workshop is principally funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the ICDP (International Continental Drilling Program). Columbia University guidelines must be followed for reimbursement of any expenses.

Itemized receipts are required by Columbia University for reimbursement of any expenses, including dinner. Alcoholic beverages will not be reimbursed. Please include a letter stating the dates of travel and an itemized list of expenses per day.

Room charges

You are responsible for incidental expenses you incur and charged to your room. You will not be reimbursed for non-meeting-related expenses such as pay-per-view movies, video games, personal phone calls, faxes, alcoholic beverage, etc.

Meals

Breakfast at the Old Orchard Inn was automatically covered by the workshop. Lunches are provided either at Acadia University or as brown bag lunches (on fieldtrip days). Dinner will be reimbursed to a maximum of US $25 per person per day (appx. Can. $ 36).

Miscellaneous charges

Non-essential transportation expenses such as taxi fares for trips between the hotel and town for dinner will not be covered.

Maximum expenses

The workshop will pay a maximum of US $700.00 per person. This total includes transportation to and from the conference, accommodation, and meals.
