Research Interests
My research interests focus on climate change on Milankovitch to decadal timescales, paleoceanography, and the study of large-scale processes controlling global cycling of biogeochemical and physical tracers in the ocean.
Timescales of interest range from millions of years (such as the Pleistocene ice ages, which are closely linked to changes in ocean-atmosphere exchange and biogeochemical cycles) to decades (the scale typical of thermohaline ventilation processes).
To identify and quantify possible mechanisms of change in the marine environment, I use a variety of isotope tracers, including noble gases, stable isotopes, radiogenic and cosmogenic isotopes.
