Lamont's location on the Hudson River Palisades, just outside New York City, provides the perfect mix of nature and easy urban access. Over 30 miles of hiking and skiing trails start at the edge of campus, and the surrounding area is popular with runners and cyclists. The campus itself is busy all year with activities for students, researchers and staff, from sports to yoga to the annual chili cook-off.
