It is incumbent on each individual to become familiar with the policies described in these documents. All activities at Lamont will be conducted in compliance with the applicable Columbia University , State and Federal regulations as well as with our own internal procedures, policies and standards.
I ask that you all participate in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. We are committed through planning, education and training to promote the personal involvement of all members of the Lamont community in these programs.
In order to insure that there is adherence to these policies routine inspections are performed. Should compliance issues be recognized then appropriate actions to enforce the policies will be taken. See Section I-101 of this manual for further details.
