Administrative Manager of all areas of Human Resource Services at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory Campus. Primary contact for labor and employee relations consultation, arrangements for visits by external researchers (in particular foreign nationals), administration of mentoring arrangements for secondary school students, and issues pertaining to post-retirement employment, as well as any interdepartmental transactions involving multiple appointments.
Senior Human Resources Generalist
Provides HR support to IRI, CIESIN, Geochemistry, and SGT. Assists new employees and visitors in obtaining an appropriate visa. Works with existing staff on visa renewals and visa status changes. Conducts all types of employee orientation and processes new appointments, appointment renewals and personnel data changes. Handles routine benefits inquiries. Tracks all types of leaves for all types of employees, including Worker’s Compensation. Oversees workplace accident reporting. Provides visa and I-9 support to staff appointed in DEES. Maintains active and archived employment records.
Human Resources Generalist
Provides HR support to the Directorate, Administration, Facilities, MLP, OCP, MGG, and BPE. Assists new employees and visitors in obtaining an appropriate visa. Works with existing staff on visa renewals and visa status changes. Conducts all types of employee orientation and processes new appointments, appointment renewals, and personnel data changes. Handles routine benefits inquiries. Processes all payrolls (hourly, bi-weekly, add-comp, Sea Pay and Maritime). Serves as system administrator of the LDEO on-line Time & Attendance tracking system. Maintains active and archived employment and payroll records.
Talent acquisition specialist for both academic and non-academic staff, including all casual hires. Ensures compliance with the University's recruitment and Affirmative Action policies. Seeks necessary approvals for job classifications and updates. Also serves as the primary support for the Observatory’s annual performance appraisal process.
