Abstract:

As a result of recent advances in theory, data, and computational power, there are new prospects for developing and using 3D models for monitoring applications. This paper reports on a workshop held June 2007 and organized by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, that was designed to assess the current state of 3D seismology and to discuss a path forward that takes advantage of new capabilities.
