As the Director of Research Computing and Campus Infrastructure at Lamont-Doherty, I am responsible for long term strategic technology planning and policy development to address complex research computing issues on premise and in the cloud, with great consideration for optimizing costs and mitigating risks.

Along with the technical staff on campus, I ensure effective operations, and governance of critical computing infrastructure for our high performance, high throughput computing systems, high density storage systems, and technical support necessary to sustain a large, world-class, earth-sciences research institute.

I manage technology teams from the definition phase through implementation, with responsibilities in the understanding and application of existing, new and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models, focusing on planning, designing, innovating, orchestrating, facilitating, navigating and operationalizing Lamont’s Campus computational enterprise as a whole.

I have been a member of the technical staff at Lamont-Doherty at various levels for more than 30 years.
