Technology Team from the Lamont-Doherty Earth
Observatory at Columbia University
The computational development team is made up of full time professionals
who are Officers of Research at Columbia University. The team
is headed by Roger Anderson,
Chief Technologist, a senior research scientist at Lamont-Doherty
Earth Observatory of Columbia University where he is the director
of the Applied Earth Sciences Institute International. The Lamont-Doherty
Earth Observatory in Palisades, NY, is a research institute of
Columbia University with annual revenues of about $50 million
and a worldwide reputation for excellence in earth sciences research.
Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory is renowned for its problem-solving
innovations, its unique geological and climatological archives,
and the outstanding achievement of its graduates. The Observatory's
fundamental challenge is to seek to provide an adequate and rational
basis for the difficult choices faced by civilization in its stewardship
of our fragile planet.
Management Team
The management team is made up of business and scientific experts
with extensive experience in the oil industry.
Randall L. Neal is President and CEO of 4D Technology,
Inc. Mr. Neal is past president of DPC&A,
a petroleum software company specializing in economics
and reserve analysis systems. He holds a BS in petroleum engineering
from the University of Tulsa. From 1988-89 he served as a Distinguished
Lecturer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has written
numerous technical articles on oil and gas economics, taxation
and computer systems integration for the oil industry.
Billy Meadow is Vice President of Business Development for
4D Technology, Inc. Mr. Meadow is founder and Chairman of Secure
Document Systems, Inc. SDS designs, builds, sells, installs and
supports integrated check printing solutions in over 20 countries. Mr.
Meadow is the founding board member of Network One, Inc., a cost
effective fax service to the global telecommunications industry. In
addition, he recently returned from a term as Vice President of
Business Development for BBN Corporation, a world class provider of
network and Internet development services. Mr. Meadow was awarded a BA
degree in Marketing from Florida State University and performed
post-graduate work in engineering and robotics at University of
Florida.
