From the Field

testrun

July 2-3, 2014: Before heading to Greenland for our field testing we worked with the Hudson Riverkeeper to do a local test in the Hudson. While we anticipate the depths of the Fjord in front of Alison glacier to be over 1000 feet in some areas, much deeper than our 100 ft. deep test run in the Hudson, the opportunity to mount and test the winch, and do a few casts of the CTD was time well spent. Thanks to John Lipscomb and Neale Gulley for taking time out of their day for us.

set up attachment
The winch attached to the Riverkeeper cleat with the CTD spooled over the edge. Cleat mount set up for attaching the CTD winch to the boatrail.
