Topic:
Areal amplitude extraction fails occasionally on some 2D lines.
Description:
SYMPTOM: Under certain conditions, the areal amplitude extraction fails on some 2D lines and the following error is returned: Could not get node information for temporary path subsegment 96 Database field id mismatch DB token(0,0,0) is incompatible with FID 101007027 This happens when lines selected have station locations but no seismic data or when the lines have strange end trace number(1677217).
Solution:
WORKAROUND: Avoid selecting lines that have no seismic traces loaded. For lines with strange end trace use the new option in iesx_util in 10.1 to correct the trace range before running the areal extract. RESOLUTION: In 10.1, which was released in December, 1996, use the new option in "iesx_util" to correct the trace numbers before running Areal amplitude extraction. This problem was corrected for GeoFrame 3.0, where the areal extraction ignores lines with no seismic traces and continues with the remaining lines.
