Unknown message id #244003028 in seismic (pictures) graphics.
Description:
SYMPTOM: Occasionally the following error is returned when selecting a line or a fold out from Basemap and/or crossposting interpretation from a large number of multiple surveys: "Unknown message id #244003028 in seismic (pictures) graphics" Users will not be able to proceed with their work, if the system reaches the maximum number of concurrently open files, when the application runs out of file descriptors.
Solution:
WORKAROUND: Exiting out of IESX and restarting usually clears the problem. RESOLUTION: Fixed for IESX 10.2.1/GeoFrame 3.1.2. After software installation, update the setup_ies file and change the 'limit descriptors' field from 256 to 1024 for IESX 10.2.1. GeoFrame is updated automatically during installation. This correction does not apply for SunOs operating systems, only Solaris and SGI. NOTE: The setup_ies file is located at /home/gqs/setup_ies.
