Posted time scatter sets transferred from CPS to GeoFrame have incorrect grid units.
Description:
SYMPTOM: Basemap: Posted time scatter sets transferred from CPS to GeoFrame via the CPS/GF Link have incorrect grid units. The scatter sets are received in GeoFrame in ms. When gridded in Basemap Plus the units change to seconds and the scatter data becomes 10 X 3 greater. There is no problem with Basemap scatter sets.
Solution:
WORKAROUND: Scale the grids to produce the desired results. 1. Post scatter sets imported from CPS via the GF_link on Basemap -Basemap > Post > Interpretation > Scatter sets 2. Grid scatter sets on Basemap Plus ( units change from ms to s ) -Basemap > Gridding > Input data 3. Save the grid -Basemap > Gridding > Save as 4. Post the grid on Basemap -Basemap > Post > Interpretation > Grids/Contours 5. Scale the grid -Gridding > Grid operations > Unary -Select the proper horizon and grid -Enter 0.001 for the scale factor 6. Save the corrected grid -Basemap > Gridding > Save as OR: Change the units on the grid. 1. Post scatter sets imported from CPS via the GF_link on Basemap 2. Grid scatter sets on Basemap+ ( units change from ms to s ) 3. Save the grid 4. GeoFrame Surface Data Manager -> select surface -> select information icon 5. Select grid and click on information icon to bring up Grid Editor 6. Click on General Attribute Editor 7. Change Unit (Storage Unit) to ms 8. Exit from IESX and restart IESX 9. IESX DataManager > Surface 10. Surface Grid to Horizon Attribute (TIME) RESOLUTION: Corrected for GeoFrame 3.1.3.
