Topic:
XY's incorrectly transferred as feet.
Description:
GeoFrame project created with: -Display Unit = English -Display and storage of Geographical Map Distance set to meters. Basemap Plus displays in English coordinate system. However if fault boundaries and horizons are transferred via CPS-3 IESX Link, the XYs are incorrectly transferred in feet.
Solution:
WORKAROUND 1: Go to Project Manager and change Display and Storage Units to meters -Select the Project Manager from the Application Manager. -Select project, enter password and 'Connect'. -Edit... -Under Unit/Coordinate System for Display Click on the 'Set Units'/'Inspect' button. Update the Unit to meters. Scroll down the list and select the 'StandardDepthIndex' button to feet. WORKAROUND 2: The fault boundaries may be sent via the GeoFrame Link. Set both storage and display projection to meters and the XY's will be sent in meters. (Horizon data cannot be sent via the GeoFrame Link). RESOLUTION: Corrected in GeoFrame 3.5. IESX CPS Link has been completely revised for GeoFrame 3.5. CPS-3 applications have been upgraded to support GeoFrame coordinates and units. The new convention is that the links store all data in the GeoFrame Display Units being set in the GeoFrame Project Manager. The IESX CPS Link converts all units into this GeoFrame unit system upon transfer and storage into CPS-3 sets.
